What's the value on a Ruger M77 RS in 7MM? It has a 24 inch barrel.

with what little info you gave about the gun anywhere from a low end just plain old shooter about $250 to mid $400's if it98% or better,,, best thing to do is look thru the auctions here and find ones that are close to your gun , see what they are bring 0 -
On my Ruger 77 7mm, when i load the gun and close the bolt, it won't close all the way and turn. What could be causing this. 0 -
If you are trying this with reloads. The bullet may be set to far out. 0 -
No, they're not reloads, just plain old Winchester Super X's. The gun is a pre '84 Ruger, so it's the older style. I'm wondering if it's something to do with that. I don't think it has anything to do with the bullets. I've shot Super X's in all my other gun's with success; however, this is my first 7mm. It's weird though, the gun's never been shot before. 0 -
I have a Ruger 77 in 7x57 I got in 1974. It digests anything I feed it so doubt ammo is a problem. You say the gun is pre 84 and never been shot? Has the bolt been taken apart and possibly put together incorrectly? Has the gun been cleaned of all hardened lubricants? If unable to figure it out return to Ruger. They will repair it for you and probably at no charge. I great gun and should shoot MOA easily. 0 -
IF YOU ARE USING FACTORY AMMO I TEND TO AGREE ITS A PROBLEM WITH THE BOLT INTERNALLAY- I AINT YELLING I JUST REALIZED MY CAPS ARE LOCKED!

taurus 357: you don't say which 7mm it is , are you trying the right ammo? ie do you have a 7 x57, 7 x64 or 7mm magnum, what is stamped on the gun barrel and what ammo are you trying in it 0 -
It's a 7mm Magnum; the same type of ammo that I have. 0 -
if the bolt closes on a empty chamber then there would be nothing wrong with it or its locking lugs , I would give the chamber a very good cleaning , you may have old dried up shipping greese in the shoulder , throat area , if after cleaning every thing up reel good it still will not close on a loaded factory round , then it would be time to take it to a good gunsmith and have it checked out 0 -
Is there a bullet stuck in the throat?????
why chase the game when the bullet can get em from here?....
Got Balistics?0 -
also check the ejector, i've had these rust in place and cause this (older rugers) 0
