Remington Model 11
I have a Rem. M11 that has a 28" cyl. bore. Is this factory?
It is a 28" solid rib barrel, and is marked CYL underneath
the barrel, right in front of the extension.

I have a Model 11 Remington marked with "Property U.S.Navy"
that needs a barrel with the CUTTS Compensator. Is their a difference between the Model 11 and the "SPORTSMAN" barrels?
Thanx for help..... I know squat about shotguns and want to acquire a "correct" barrel with Cutts for this WWII veteran

I would run-not walk back to your FFL. If the barrel is military marked/also check the Serial No. on the bottom lug of the barrel-if matching-definitely go for it or give me the address. This was an aerial gunner's pratice gun for WW11. Perhaps a riot gun-depends upon the length and choke of the barrel. The stock may be also cartouched.

These were standard commercial guns with ordnance bomb stamped on the receiver. We had them in Korea for Special Services recreational use only. They were not used in combat or guard duty because a bayonet could not be mounted on them and they had no handguards. We had Stevens and Winchester pump riot guns for guard duty. They must have been arsenal refinished after that time to a parkerized finish. 0
