Dehumidifier for a gun room

I have a room in my basement that has a concrete floor and one concrete wall that is about 6' x 10' in size that I use for a gun safe.I was wondering what is the best way to keep the moisture out,*dehumidifier* being my basement the temperature fluctuates quite a bit. Thank you

  I have a basement room 12x7x7h (all concrete except the door) and have kept a dehumidifier in it for years with no rust problems past 20 years. To be most effective the walls, floor and ceiling should be sealed by painting. I only painted my walls and have to empty my dehumidifier of about two gallons of water about once a week when outside humidity is at the highest. Dehumidifiers cost $125-150 and use a little electricity, less that a refrigerator.

  Yes a good dehumidifer will do the trick. I bought mine when Circuit City still carried appliances. Some even have a hose connection on the collection bucket, so you can run a hose right to a drain(if you have a drain) and never have to dump out the water.
  
  You may want to consider a small heater. Maybe electric base board, maybe keep the room at 65 degrees in the winter. Although, my concern would lie in the fire risk of the heater.

  Great ideas.The goldenrod looked like it wouldn't be up to the task since it is designed for small gun safes. Thanks for the new ideas.

  A good cheap solution available at just about any grocery store is some stuff called Damp-Rid. Its cheap and it works, and it shows you it works. I have two little damp rid buckets in my large gunsafe, and it seems to do the job. I think they cost me all in all of 6 dollars at walmart. No need for electricity or a hole in your safe to run the wire.

  Try a 40 watt light bulb. The heat will keep moisture away, plus added benifit of a light when you open the door.
