What is the status of 16 Ga. shells, are they still made or have they been completely discontinued.

  Their still made,but not as readily available
  as 12's and 20's.You won't find them at Wally World
  at discount case price.I don't shoot a 16ga so
  I can't say what the best source is,but their not
  that hard to find.Hope this helps.

  Walmart here has a great selection of them and some are at discount prices.
  
  They have 1 /18oz 6 shot hunting loads for $3.50 a box. I just had Walmart order me a case of these.
  
  The 4,7 1/2 and 8 shot loads are slightly more.
  
  The gunshops here also carry them.
  
  
  Click on the following link and you will find a page on 16ga.com that lists 16ga shotshell makers that sell shells in the US. There are over 15 manufacturers who offer them.

  The 16 is far from dead and is available from many manufacturers.
  
  
  Winchester does not count as shotgun manufacturer as they don't even make a 20ga let alone a 16ga
