Wards and Westernfield

My brother recently acquired a .22 cal Bolt Action rifle manufactured by Wards and Westerfield. It has a full length wood stock and I think that he said that it has a tube type magazine. He was informed that there is some affiliation with Mossberg, maybe they were the importer or something. Does anyone know anything about this rifle?

  Wards sold but did not manufacture rifles and shotguns. Westernfield was a name used on some of their firearms. Like Sears and others they had the guns manufactured by a number of makers with the Wards or Westernfield name. If you have the model number, you can check the crossover list in the Blue Book and find the maker and corresponding model in the makers line, or you can post it here and someone will look it up for you, or you can go to www.gunpartscorp.com and check the on-line crossover list there.
