the numbers on my WIN model 94 are 39583?? can someone date and approximate its value?[?]

I have to assume that the two question marks represent the last two didgits of the Serial number...If that being the case,,, Serial Number 39583XX was Produced in 1974.... the numbers began at 3929365 and ended at 4111426 for the production Run that year..This is according to the WINCHESTER Dates of Manufacture...Now Comes the Fly in the Ointment...!
Production figures for 1943-48 and 1964 are unknown. Later figures from 1948 on are from records at U.S. Repeating Arms, and may be off one year, especially for the years 1971-72-{74}-75-76 and 79..Later production figures are lost; last "pre-64" is number 2,700,000...So at this juncture....Your Guess is as Good as Mine...........
As far as value is concerned..If its in Excellent Condition and is a Rifle?...$350.00........Carbine? add $100.00..........
