Couple pistol (age) ??
Former neighbor (widow lady) found a couple pistols, in the basement, as she was packing up to move, and she has donated them to my collection.
1, is a H&R 970 starter pistol (22 blank) SN# F-37xx with white rubber grip.
2, is a Colt "Detective Spec" SN# 9203xx 2" bbl, walnut grips, 38 Special ctg, it was loaded w/6 38spl FMJ rounds (it was stored in a fur lined glove that she had to cut to remove the pistol).
Not intrested in value (there priceless to me), but in approxamate age of them.
Some guys like a mag full of lead, I still prefer one round to the head.

i will have to let someone else address the age of the colt but the h&r model 970 was manufactured in 1945.

There should be a D prefix on the sn and it was made in 1967. 0 -

Thank you

Thank you also.
No Prefix on either the frame # or the crane #
One other thing I noticed the grips carry the last 3 digits of the SN so they are the factory origionals.
