mdl. 49-correction, mdl.29-update
a friend wants ( needs ) to sell a stevens mdl 29 pump .22 - its in about 85%-90% condition, he doesn't have any idea what it's worth. i told him i would ask about a thousand xperts. anybody got any ideals? thanks for input- this is a STEVENS mdl. 49 - takedown - rd. barrel - only pistolgrip is checkered- was told this was special order - serial no 30252k - getting interested, any ideals appreciated

I don't find a Stevens mod.49 listed
in the books I have handy.Also looked
under Savage/Stevens,nothing there either.

Just for your information. I have a Stevens model 49, stamped on the left side of the receiver. It is a Savage/stevens 29/75, but is marked 49. I always thought this was just mis-stamped at the factory, and maybe it was. Who knows how many were mis-stamped. 0
