Does any one know who sells blowgun darts in minnesota?
Is their any way to make darts?[:)]

  I learned to make blow guns before they started manufacturing them.
  A friend showed me how. You just need an aluminum tube 3 - 5 feet long, and about 3/4 to 1 inch in diameter, and a wood dowel the same diameter, and metal clothes hangers. The dowel should just fit perfectly into the tube. Drill a hole in the center of the dowel a little smaller than the clothes hanger material. Shape the end on a lathe or grinder to be a rounded cone about 3/4 inch long. Cut it off where the cone stops. Cut the hanger so you have a 4 to 5 inch long rod. Grind one end to be a little pointed and drive it into the wood with a glue. Then grind the other end to be very sharp. You will have a heck of a blow gun. It will drive a dart into things for real, not like those sissy blowguns you buy.
  The length of the dart rod you can adjust with experience, till it has the greatest distance and accuracy.
  
  Just give it a good solid blow and it will shoot with some real power.
  
  You can get really good with these things.

  Make 'em? Yeah, use needles and cut dowel, cork, or balsa. You can even stick a feather on it if you want accuracy and range.

  HAD ONE YEARS AGO THAT USED RESIN BALLS.YOU HEATED A PIECE OF PIANO WIRE AND STUCK IT INTO THE RESIN.WHEN IT HIT A COFFEE CAN THE WIRE WOULD GO THRU BOTH SIDES AND THEN SOME. CHEAPERTHANDIRT.COM HAS BLOW GUNS AND DARTS, GIVE THEM A TRY.

  I once made a blow gun from a piece of copper pipe and it worked well. I used 1/2 inch ID and about 5.5 feet long. The other posts give dart descriptions. I tended to use heavier darts and used light weight clothes hanger wire. I used cotton balls around the base with a bit of tape or thread to prevent in sliding forward. Once I dip the end of a dart in paint use to paint chicken coops. It has a significant nicotine concentration to control feather mites. I shot a chicken in the thigh and it was dead in one step. The South American indians use curare to coat the business end of the dart. If you doctor the tips be sure to follow the former president and do not inhale. Have fun.
