Prices on two old shotguns

The single is a utility gun made by Crescent (as I remember), though it's possible to be Stevens or H&A. The wholesale price of such a gun in worn but working order is about $35.00. Retail is higher, but these aren't popular items. Buyers are few and far between.

The Remington is what we might call a quality utility gun. Too many to be a collectors piece unless exceptional in some way or other. You failed to mention condition, or provide a description. I'll have to assume a field gun in used serviceable condition... $200.00.

The single shot is in good to very good condition and the Remington is is very good condition. Both of these weapons are in working condition and have no rust, but could stand a blue. My Grandfather does not recall much and the rest of the family does not have any information.

    Respectfully, I must disagree...

A gun that needs reblue is NOT in very good condition even though it's mechanically sound. A need for reblue means use. Years of it!

Value is in the fact that the gun has a family history. Market value is about what I quoted.

    Sorry!

    History lesson:
    EASTERN....Made by Stevens Arms...

EASTERN ARMS Co., Made by Meriden Firearms and sold by Sears-Roebuck..
The Eastern Arms is worth $50.00 as discribed...
The remington because there are at least a dozen Model 11-48's..and Absolutley No Discription...So...Like NORD...I'd rate it as a Field Gun....Tops $200.00...depending upon Condition.....

Thanks to both of you Nord and Captkirk. I am planing on keeping the guns. I just wanted to find out what had been given to me. I like the Eastern Arms 12 ga. I think it would be a good gun to teach my son how to shoot. I would like to clean both of these guns up a bit, any suggestions about the blue. The wood stocks on both are in great shape, just need to blue I think. Again, to both of you thanks.

Intirely up to You Kind Sir: If it would make you happy to have a pretty Blue Barrel then by all means Carry On..I'm sure that neither gun would suffer from the effort, and I'm sure they'ed be worth as much as NORD and I have evaluated them as they are now...Best...
