Smith 686 Model?

Howdy I have a Smith 686 with the 8 3/8 barrel. I have some questions about it though. Smiths catalog lists it as SKU 164226 but my box says 104226. Is there a difference? Also I have read that the 686 doesnt have a -5 designation however the model listed on my box says 6865. Also I have seen this pistol listed as both a K frame and an L frame could someone please clear up for me which it is? Any information would be helpful. Thanks Guys!
