Competition question

I know that semi-autos pretty much dominate most shooting these days, but I was wondering if the various competitions have events for those using revolvers or do they compete directly with those using semi-autos?

  IPSC has a revolver division. Moon clipped guns are pretty much all you see. Mostly S&W 610's and 625's. Some guys to try it out are still using speed loaders though.

  You could join I.C.O.R.E. the International Confederation of Revolver Enthusiasts. They hold an annual match in Cal, the International Revolver Championship.
  
  We shoot against the likes of Jerry Michulic, who wins it every year.
  He is the fastest man in the world with a revolver.
  It is lots of fun. Many shoot the smith 8-shot. Almost everyone uses moon clips.
  It is sponsored by S&W who are very generous with prizes.

  Of coarse revolvers don't get the glory that the open class semi's with big 'ol compensators and reflex optics, but there are still people who shoot at them.
  
  Jerry Miculek is probably the most well know. He reloads a revolver faster than most people reload an auto.

  Good to know that the wheelgun is still active competitively. The more shooting that I do, I am finding myself more drawn to revolvers, although their demands make me appreciative of what I was taking for granted with the semi-autos.
