.22LR Plinker
Am interested in purchasing a .22LR "plinker" for kicks, and to possibly keep in my car as well. Any suggestions? I am interested in the Firestorm .22LR. The size is right, the money is right, it has a lifetime warranty, any info on the quality?
Also, if I do plan to keep this in my car as a backup, what ammo would you suggest? I know the .22 isn't the best defensive weapon, but keep in mind, my primary reason for this is for just plain fun.
Thanks!

Ruger builds excellent .22s. I also have a Walther P22 which is dayum fun to shoot. Give both pistols two big thumbs up.
For ammo, for defense (ha ha), I'd use a high or hyper velocity hollowpoint round, like the Remington .22LR Yellowjacket.0 -
I do not know the Firestorm or you budget, but you would be very hard put indeed to beat the Baretta Neos for under $300. Handles like a center fire and the fit and finish put Ruger and Browning to shame.

I have several differents 22's, but for a plinker that I can keep in the car I like to keep a Walther PP or PPK/S. 0 -
The Firestorm .22LR is a Bersa. Have heard only good things about the Bersa 22s. If I wanted a 22, would buy it w/o posting, calling anyone, etc.
CCI Stinger, Remington Yellowjacket
Have 2 BERSA 380s.
