Need Help with Info on Ruger Standard .22lr

Hi Folks,
I'm in a bit of a jam here. I bought an early 1950s Ruger Standard, .22lr pistol.

I got it, and it looks fine, BUT, there is no "eagle" on the end cap of the magazine! Should there be? On the MK I/II there is, and this shiny piece looks VERY new. The piece that is on there is very plain with no eagle or anything. The end cap is the piece that you can see from the bottom of the gun, with the magazine inserted.

ANY help would be appreciated!

  not 100% sure but my mark1 has a plain base on the mag , its a little bit new gun thru, all of the mark I mags I have ever see just had a plain base , mags for the Mark II and anniversary Mark I's (red) have the eagle on them

  I have an early 60's model with no eagle on the origional mag.

  Early mags were not marked. If it fits, use it!
