Taurus Challenge !!
I have a Taurus PT92AF which I bought about 17 years ago and gave to my wife. Until yesterday, I hadn't shot it in maybe 10 years. Took it out, shot it a bunch, took it home , field stripped it to clean.... While I wasn't looking, a piece fell out which would be the swinging link if it was a 1911. Can't make it go back in. Please help me out before my wife discovers that I don't know how to put her pistol back together!!!
Many thanks from... Doug (also known as "the idiot")

Will someone PLEASE help me out?? 0 -
It seems from your description, that the "Locking Block" has been detached from it's seat underneath the barrel. As long as the pocket/recess it fits in is clean it should slide back in from the side when you depress the "Locking Block Plunger". If this doesn't work the only other thing I can suggest is to drift out the roll pin that retains the "Locking Block Plunger", then remove it. Replace the "Locking Block", then reinstall the Plunger. 0 -
ROFL!!! hahaha....been there done that.
Ok, look, it fits in just like it looks, from the side slide it in like a puzzle piece. You just have to line it up just right do to tight tolerances. Just keep playing with it, it will go in.0 -
Thank you, guys. After beating on it with a chisle and a 5 pound hand sledge, I got it to fit... now I seem to have some other problems with the club, er.. pistol.
Thanks again for your help. It's now working fine!0
