    You're right in all cases (pun!)

    Winchester developed the .32 Spl rifle cartridge in answer to the Remington .30 - .35 line of cartridges back in the early 1900's. It is awfully close to the old 30-30 in bullet weights and velocities, just have a .321" dia bullet, instead of the .308" on the 30-30. My deceased FIL had a Model 94 (pre-64) in the .32 Spl chambering I always coveted. His son inherited it (rightfully) upon his death, along with a Griffen & Howe customized 1903 Springfield. (SIGH!)
