I bought a nice .380 Erma 68A 3-4 years ago for $100 ... It broke the 2nd time I shot it, parts are no longer avaiable for it so I kept it around for a while then sold it at a gun show for parts ... fer $100

Regarding your 38h, along with factory original condition, the various Waffenamts and/or police markings are of great interest to collectors. Yours appears to have a very late serial number and probably is the latter version without the slide safety.
The following links are to Panchos excellent web-site www.panchogun.com One is a very late 38h with a S.N. within 10,000 of yours that is in the white.

If you could furnish us some pictures of your pistol, it might be easier to give you some idea of it's value.
You might also do a search of the 3 largest firearms auction and brokerage sites on the net to get a idea of what 38h's are going for.0
