Lever Actions
Was looking at 1894 Marlins. Does anyone have good or bad reviews on pistol caliber lever actions?

I have a 1895C--octogon barrel, 8 shot 45-70 among other models. As I collect--one of my collector items are lever action Marlins. I own several. Can't' give you a college educated opinion other than they work and fire flawlessly. Marlin has done an excellent job with their reproductions--you will not be disapointed! Workmanship, accuracy and dependability are unqustionable.
Did I mention I spell bad--it's late--I have a two week old--I'm tired!!0 -
I love levers and I have owned 4 pistol caliber lever guns of the 3 that I seriously tested with handloads, the accuracy was amazing! Two were Winchesters in 44 and 357 the other was a Rossi 44. 0 -
I love my lever actions and have Winchesters Marlins and yes, even a Mossberg!
I know they are fine guns and you cannot go wron with either the Marlin or Winchester in any configuration.
I have the 30-30 models I just love them!
Ted Kennedy's car has killed more people than my gun has!0 -
they're all good some are just better (kind of ) than others , all depends on what you want to do with them , there is something about one in 45lc that is just loads of fun , I have one right now in 44mag and 357mag have had them in 41mag and 45lc ( wish I still did ) also had a rossi in 45lc grest little gun , the only lever gun I've ever had problems with was a Winchester in 357 and that was just plain a piece of sh**

Thanks all, I was looking at a Marlin 357 lever action. It seems that everyone has done ok with them so i'll go pick one up here soon. Figure if I have the revolver in 357, I cant go wrong with the lever action in same caliber. 0
