colt .45 WWII HELP PLEASE!!! :)
Hi. Im brand new here and dont know a lot about guns. I really would like a walk thru , diagram, book or detailed explination of a .45 colt from WWII. How to take it apart and put it back together and a list of the parts. If anyone could please send me this info or tell me where i could get it i'd really appreciate it. Thanks a lot [:)]

The army has a TM (Training Manual), the number excapes me right now, that gives an IPB (Illustrated Parts Breakdown) and explicit instruction on disassembly/reassembly along with material requirements. This is still one of the best references available for the novice. Most gunshops have a few copies available or can steer you to them. Perhaps even surplus stores or used book sellers.

Note: For routine cleaning, you need only go thru Steps 1 thru 8.0 -
The National Rifle Association sells a booklet that has the information that you want. It has an exploded diagram, disassembly instructions, & reprints of several relevant articles; it is only a few $.
