Can I, as a non-ffl holder, buy or sell pre-1898 pieces to europe?

  I would call the US CUSTOMS SERVICE and get their take on it. Officially, pre-98 weapons are beyond regulation by BATF or the GCA.
  Now those disarmed and denutted Euro's may give you some grief.

  I know that pre 1898 guns can, at least from Switzerland, be mailed directly to you, no regulations. Now I just have to find out if I, as a foreigner, would be eligible to purshase such weapons myself when I'm over there and mail them home.
