Springfield V-16 .45 auto
Is anyone having trouble with them not extracting the empty shell casing? I'm having trouble with mine and is seems that the brass shells are the worst problem. CCI blazer ammo works most of the time but not always. The brass (Rem, win) can't even get one clip to cycle trough.

I would suggest sending in back to Springfield if it is still under warranty - Their customer service is above average. Otherwise you might give them a call and see if this is a common problem with an easy fix. Their number is below:

Office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Central Time, Monday through Friday.0 -
Not trying to point out the obvious, but when I started shooting, I was not cleaning my firearms properly. This will cause ALL sorts of problems, like the one you detail.
Another option short of return for inspection (they probably wouldn't charge for something REALLY simple + they have a lifetime warrenty to the original purchaser) is a gun smith like one I sometimes use in the next town over. Old (not to him !) Mr. Stone, 35 years with the highway patrol, and knows guns with a glance. It might just be a little nick on the ejector. A quick fix and you can avoid the Fed-Ex Overnight.0 -
Do you have the Higher spring in there for the 45 super or the regular spring, for regular 45? 0 -
I clean it after every time out shooting. and I have the spring in it that came with it. Only shot about 300 rounds. 0
