missing my target
i have a browning stalker 7mm mag, installed a leupold 3-10-50, leupold rings and mounts(one piece) it shoots 8 inches low at one hundred yards with the scope adjustment maxed out, went to higher rings, brought it up 4 inches, sent scope back to have tested, returned with no problem found ????????????????????????????

Are you sure that you are not mounting the scope with mount turned around backwards?Just a thought!
IT'S BETTER TO BE JUDGED BY 12,THAN CARRIED BY 6!0 -
You could have the rings mounted backwards (try swapping them front to rear).
The base might be backwards also.
The barrel might not be centered in the receiver.
With the scope adjustments centered, shim/adjust the base/rings to bore sight it as close as possiable. Use the scopes adjustments for fine tuning ONLY.
Worst case would be to get some "Insert" style rings (Burris Siginature?) and use the inserts to angle the scope.
Some guys like a mag full of lead, I still prefer one round to the head.0 -
thanks for the input guys, i am using a single piece base with the front dovetail and rear windage screws 0 -
sounds like a manufacture problem with the front or rear ring,..or the receiver wasn't fully machined correctly.
Check the ring height while on the phone with a tech guy from leupold. You may find that an incorrct ring was put into the package at the factory,..or even while two packages were open at the gun-store.
why chase the game when the bullet can get em from here?....

I the same problem with a savage I bought. Just had to shim the base and it fixed the problem
