71 winchester

can anyone tell me the approximate value of a professionally refinished 71 long tang winchester deluxe with factory bolt peep sight ser.#122xx mfg. in 1937. gun is in excellent condition with a perfect bore, any comments would be appreciated.

  About half as much as one that hasn't been refinished. Your rifle is no longer a collector's specimen... just a pretty shooter. My guess would be about $400-$500 tops.
