.444 Marlin T/C

I have a T/C with a .444 Marlin barrel (14 inch), which started out as a .44 magnum barrel. Was wondering if anyone else has one of these and if they would share some reloading info. The T/C reloading manual does not list any.

  I have a T/C 14 inch Contender in the .444 Marlin. Was wondering if anyone else has one of these out there? Mine was a .44 Mag barrel rechambered in the above caliber. It shoots fine and I took a large doe with it the first day of deer season. If anyone has one, would you share any reloading info with me?

  Do not know if this will help or not.About 5 years ago I had SSK rechamber my 44 to the 444 Marlin.In a 14" Contender.I have been shooting only 300 gr jacketed bullets,nothing else.If you are interested in these loads reply to this topic and I will post them.

  I would be interested in the load date. Currently I'm, shooting a 240gr JHP behind 41 grs of IMR3031. It does ok but by no means a hot load.
  I am going to try to get it shooting in time for whitetails here in the east.

  I have a contender and also a encore chambered for the 444 marlin. I use 180 gr. Hornaday XTP bullets. My loads are 56grs. of 4895 and 50grs. of 4198 groups around 1-1.25 in. at 100 yrds. it has terrific knock down power. Have taken deer up to 200 yrds. recoil is moderate don't try and fight it just go with it. A good solid hit on a deer will pick it up and turn it around in the opposite direction.

  Moose56 here are my results so far with load development for the TC .444 Marlin.Using Sierra 300gr JSP , crimp on top groove , OAL is 2.515" , using CCI 200 primers.Groups are 5 shot at 50 meters.With IMR 4198, 36.0gr= 1 3/4" , 39gr= 1 1/4" , 40.5gr= 1 3/4" , H335 , 49gr= 1 3/8" , 52gr= 2 1/4" , 52.5gr= 2" , AA 2520 , 47gr= 1 1/2" , 49gr= 1 3/4" , 49.5gr= 1" , AA 2230 , 46gr= 1" ..Remington factory 240gr ammo shot at 2 3/4"..I am still working on this project.
