non-toxic shot

What, in your EXPERIENCE, has proven to be the most effective no-toxic shot for geese? I'm talking primarily about the ones other than steel. I have a Beretta 391 12ga. So the loads I'm considering are 3" and unfortunately Beretta recommends not shooting Remington Hevi-Shot in their guns, so I'm curious about the rest. Also favorite shot size for geese, both decoyed and pass shooting. Yah, I did a search for non-toxic shot(only took 7-8 minutes to get into the search page)but didn't find much info that I wanted.

  IT WOULD BE WISE TO PATTERN YOUR BERETTA WITH SEVERAL SHOT SIZES
  [ T'S -F'S- 1'S ] HOPFULLY IT WILL DO WELL WITH THEM ALL . THAT'S RARELY THE CASE HOWEVER GENERALLY SPEAKING YOU WILL FIND THAT ONE
  SIZE AND BRAND WILL GIVE PATTERNS THAT ARE SUPERIOR TO OTHERS .
  PATTERNS THAT ARE CONSISTATLY EVENLY SPREAD, DENSE AND HAVE NO
  AREA THAT HAS WHAT I CALL A HOLE IN THEM WHERE THERE NOTICABLY FEWER PELLETS. DIFFERENT CHOKES WILL GIVE DIFF. RESULTS AS WELL . FULL CHOKES ARE PREFERRED FOR PASS SHOOTING AND POSS. MOD. FOR DECOYING
  AT CLOSER RANGES, TRY BOTH. ONLY PROBLEM WITH THIS METHOD IS EXPENSES AND WHEN YOU MISS THERE IS NO EXCUSE.[:p]

  I SHOOT HEAVY-SHOT IN MY BERETTA. NOT A PROBLEM I THINK YOU WILL FIND THAT YOUR GUN WILL SHOOT BETTER WITH A MORE OPEN CHOKE . NO TIGHTER THAN MOD. MINE WORKS BEST WITH AN I/C BOTH AT 25 YARDS AND A 45 YARDS. GIVE IT A TRY I THINK YOU WILL FIND IT WORKS. I USE T'S AND 1'S GOOD LUCK AND LET US KNOW HOW YOU COME OUT.

  I use hevi-shot too but there is the stuff called Bismuth. An element on the periodic chart right next to lead. These shells are made by Bismuth and are expensive.
