belgian revolver bore
Hi any one knows the caliber of a belgian revolver, it seems to be 38, but a 38 slug is a loose fit in the barrel, its double action, with a rebounding hammer, made in the 1880s, house of Liege proof on the barrel and cyl. well hade and finished. appairs to be a webley copy. Looks a lot like the webley RIC, with fluted cyl. Only a lot smaller. But if its bigger then 38, what could it be? maybe 9.5 mil? thanks for any help.

Barnes book notes that the British designed a "380 Revolver" cartridge in the late 1860's
It has very similar dimensions to the .38 S& W, except the bullet diameter is .016 greater. Perhaps this is the cartridge your revolver is chambered for?0
