winchester trapper Vs.Ranger

I have noticed that the winchester trapper and the winchester ranger both have the saddle ring and 16 inch barrel. The ranger is considerably less expensive. What is the difference?

  Sears used to contract out a lot of designs to the major manufacturers and put the Ranger name on them ... who knows the Ranger your looking at may have even been made by Winchester

  I have a Ranger single shot .22 S-L-LR that was made in the 30's and its still a great shooter.

  BOTH ARE MADE BY WINCHESTER. THE RANGER HAS A HARDWOOD STOCK. THE TRAPPER IS WALNUT. BOTH ARE THE SAME GUN JUST A DIFFERENT STOCK. I HAVE EACH LISTED ON THIS SITE

  I thought the ranger was only available in a .357mag or .30-30win and then the trapper was available in .44mag or .45col.

  Nevermind, I found the catalog.
  
  The Ranger full size comes in .30-30 only, the Ragner compact comes in .30-30 and .357, but the Trapper comes in .30-30, .357, .44mag, and .45colt.

  I HAVE THE MODEL 94 WINCHESTER RANGER IN 45 LONG COLT AND 44MAG/44 SPECIAL IN STOCK READY FOR SHIPMENT. I ALSO HAVE THE 38 SPEC/357 MAG IN STOCK.
