I know ZIP when it comes to crossbows but you might look at some that Cabela's has (www.cabellas.com ) and maybe also www.sportsmansguide.com Both had some under 400 and camo'ed with various cocking devices.
Sorry to be of so little help, as we can only use for targets in my state, so not a lot of interest. Oh, and I think cabella's has a "bargain cave" on line now so try that for discontinued, shipping blemish, that sort of thing.

Allechalley- Thanks for the information! I'm going to those websites as soon as I'm done here and check them out!

Go for the Horton brand of crossbows, I've seen alot of crossbows in my hunting life but only few were as well made as the Horton line. There are a few other brands like Ten Point and Fred Bear crossbows which cost a little more.

I'd still take a Horton anyday over the rest. Check out the Horton Legend II or the Hunter Express SL, both have split limbs and put out enough velocity and knockdown power to take game as large as Elk.

Also, you should shop around for the package deal which should include a quiver, scope, base mount, & rings. If you do get a Horton they usually include a video that walks you through the beginner process step by step. Hope this helps![8D]

I have a Barnett RC 150 I put a 4x32 Simmons crossbow scope on it very accurate I used it for pig hunting. It is light weight, and just a lot of fun to shoot and not a bad price.
