.41 Action Express- Conversions
This post has probably been covered previously. If so, please forgive me. I understand that there is a conversion kit to change a Browning High Power -9mm to the .41 AE caliber. A friend of mine is in the process of buying the kit which includes a barrel, recoil spring & 2 magazines. Is anyone familiar with this conversion, and, where would one find factory type ammo for it? I am of the opinion that the ammo is scarce, and he probably should look at reloading for it, if he intends to shoot it much at all? Your advice is appreciated. Thanks

"IMI/Samson" still loads factory .41AE, but finding some in local gunshops and gunshows is hard and/or rare.
I had a BHP .41AE conv. for a short while. I still shoot the .41AE in a EAA Witness.
The .40 caliber kinda killed the .41AE0 -
I have one of the .41ae browning conversions that was fitted to the FEG clone of the Hi-power. It fit just fine but needed just a slight ramp adjustment.....10 minutes worth of work. It is a great cartridge that has been undervalued by the firearms community. Unfortunately, now days if you want to shoot it cheaply and not bust your wallet you gotta reload your own stuff.
