    I have a sears model 200 in 20 guage and my local gun shop thinks it was made by winchester as it closely resembles the winchester model 1200'S.I also know that some of sear's shotguns were made by J.C. HIGGINS.I dont know about the choke's,you could ask a gunsmith in your area'i'm sure he would know.

    E-GUNPARTS.COM HAS A CROSS REFERENCE THAT SHOWS WHO MADE WHAT FOR SEARS.

    Your shotgun was made by High Standard. Out of curiosity does your shotgun have a serial number under the receiver in front of the loading port? I bought one off of another auction site and the number appeared to have been ground off. My ffl would not receive it and the seller claimed it never had one but it was obviously buffed off.

    ....I never met a gun I didn't like!

    My gun has a number 583.2080. It was located on the left side of the barrel.

    buhner;

    That 7 digit number is a Sears model number. I know, I know, its a model 21 but the sears system was a little confusing. Within the M21 there are variations and the key to those is the model number you posted.

    I'm not sure specifically on the Model 21, but all of the pre-1968 Sears shotguns I've seen have had no serial numbers.

    THE HI STANDARD PUMP IS A FINE SHOTGUN VERY SMOOTH ACTION , IT WILL FALL OPEN WHEN HELD UPRIGHT AND RELEASE IS PUSHED. I DO NOT BELIEVE
    THAT HI-STANDARD EVER OFFERED A INTERCHANGABLE CHOKE ONLY ADJUSTABLE CHOKES. IT MAY BE A CUTTS COMPENSATER CHOKE THESE ARE INTERCHANGABLE.
    THEY WERE POPULAR THEN AND MAY HAVE BEEN ADDED , BUT MORE THAN LIKLEY YOU HAVE A POLY-CHOKE THEY WERE ALSO VERY POPULAR AT ONE TIME.

    The model 21 parts schematic shows it came with a variable choke.

    I would take it out and shoot for patterns. It may shoot acceptable patterns. If not, it can be removed and the barrel threaded for choke tubes.

    Correction to a post earlier in this thread:

    The gentleman states that some of Sears shotguns were made by J.C. Higgins. J.C. Higgins is a store brand much like the Ted Williams brand of sporting goods. Many J.C.Higgins guns were made by High Standard as some of the other posters have stated.

    If you ain't got a sense of humor you got no business bein here!
