Do I need to break the barrel in on this thing? how do I do it?[8]

A new SKS D? No break-in needed, but I'd buy a Yugo shooter and keep this one in the safe (a real SKS-D is rare, and a new one even rarer).

It is marked SKS-D on it, it is a Chinese one,

I'd put that one away, a real collectors piece. Stock up on AK drums and ammo while they are still buyable, will make a nice profit in ten years if you decide to use it as an investment.

were are you fella's finding these stamps indicating model number??i have looked at all mine..russian,romanian,chinese..and one north korean and i can find no marks????? hmmm

The SKS-D and SKS-M will be stamped on the side of the receiver. They were a commercial variant of the SKS so they have more stuff stamped on them than the milsurp stuff. My Romanian only has serial #'s if I remember right.
