new model ruger blackhawk - sight problem ???

    Caliber? Barrel length? Distance to target? Reloads or factory?
    Did you try it out of the box, or start cranking on the rear sight first?
    I have a .30 M1 Blackhawk that shot high at 25yds., so I moved out to 100yds., where it printed a tiny group 1/2" low.
    Normally, if the rear sight is lowered; the gun will shoot higher.

    The cal is 357 and the distance has been any where from 25 to 50 yards. the bbl lenth is 6.5 in. I would like for gunnut to explain your theory on dropping the rear sight, please. this gun is shooting deceant groups its the sight picture that I dont like

    gunnut505,I think you got it backwards.To make it shoot higher you raise the rear sight not lower it.

    Those specific directions only apply to 3 screw blackhawks when fired in space.

    you didn't say what weight of bullet you are using , if you are using 158 gr try 125, different guns like diffrent bullets keep tring until you find something that works! or take the gun by the barrel and use it like a hammer , bend that thing a little[:D][}:)]
