Remington 1503
Hi.
My father recently passed on to me a Remington Model 1503 bolt action 30-06 rifle with a scope. According to him, it was my grandfathers and as far as he knows, it has only been fired once as my grandfather died shortly after getting this rifle. That was about 40 years ago or so, Dad can't remember exactly. Anyway, what is this thing worth? It is in outstanding shape, kept in a case all its life, and I just want to know what its worth for insurance purposes. Thanks.

There's not mod.1503 listed in my books.
Look again,maybe you missed something.
(Or maybe I've missed something,but I've
never heard of it)

I am suspecious that your rifle is a former military model, possibly a 1903, or 03-A3, that has been sportered.

I agree with Fred. If so, it would be worth in the $100-200 range.
