You didn't happen to find that knife in or around Rocky Mountain National Park? Lost one a few months ago up there that was black with black serrated blade. It was an automatic. Damn that really pissed me off to lose it. They are great knives. You should consider yourself lucky. 0 -
is there a number on the blade also? I have a 943SBT it retails for $140+ the osbourne line is the highest cost of the non-auto benchmades.go to the website for referance, item description, etc.
Good find, I expect you will make a reasonable effort to find the owner...

With "Good Fortune" like that, you should have
bought a Lottery ticket that day too.
Probably one of the Premier knife makers at the
present time.0 -
ive got several benchmades...usually carry a boguzuski spike, but have the cqc7 tanto folder, a couple osbornes, 3 of the mel pardue micarta/titanium folders, and several autos, you cant go wrong with them...also like the case xx line, well made knives that dont cost a fortune. the russ knife is one of my favorites 0 -
[:D] Good find,
I carry a MPD3550 and love it...
The Benchmade factory is about 15min
away from me and can get the address
and phone number for you.I know that
there is a lifetime warrenty on them
so you might want to have it gone over

You seem to be finding quite a few Knives: a Spyderco up in the attic and now a Benchmade on the ground. Benchmades are very good kinives, although they are not as well made as Michrotech or Masters of Defense, Benchmade products are very serviceable and well made. I like to think of Benchmade as the Ruger of knives, very good quality, strong and well built, and at prices which most folks can afford. The Osbourne is at the top of their product line. I own three or four of the Benchmade automatics and find them very reliable and cost effective because when you step up to a Michrotech or MOD you'd have to spend A LOT more money. Beyond this you'd be looking at custom knives, extremely high costs, and often years of waiting.
