Springfield XD Magazines
Hi, I have just read on an earlier post that I can take a Sprinfield XD .40S&W magazine and use it in my XD 9mm. Doing this I can get 15rounds of 9mm in the .40S&W magazine. Now, I live in California and wonder if there is any problems by doing this. From what I understand it is just using a standard magazine, no modifications so this should be okay right...? I just can't believe I could do this in California and have myself a legal high capacity magazine though!
Thanks in advance,
Greasy

I think that's one of those things you just don't talk about. It's not illegal if they don't know about it.

I'm not familiar with california law, but it should be legal. It only holds 10rds of the ammunition it was originally manufactured for, and you did not modify it in any way. Unless the law says that you cannot use a magazine that was not manufactured for that gun or cannot put ammo in a magazine it was not manufactured to use.
But I agree with drops, its just one of those things you keep you mouth shut about.0
