Question about Mossber835?
Mossberg recommends not shooting slugs for the smoothbore barrel due to it being overbored. Yet, Hastings sells a rifled choke tube for the 835. Are these tubes a good choice, rather than buying a more expensive fully rifled barrel? Are these tubes good only for sabot slugs?

I would listen to Mossberg! if you go ahead and do shoot slugs thru it and something bad happens , you will not have a leg to stand on with Mossberg or in court if it would happen to go that far!!!! I've tried rifed tubes in my Remington 870 and did not have real good luck and yes you should only shoot the sabot slugs thru a rifled tube [:(] sabot slugs are made to shoot in a rifled tube or barrel where the older foster type slug has riflings on them to grip the smooth sides of the smooth bore barrel to impart spin 0
