Stupid question about shipping a glock magazine

Hi there!

I'm sorry for such a silly question, but I want to make sure I know what I'm doing before I do it!

I need to know if it's legal for me, a nonlicensee, to ship a Glock 19 9mm pistol, pre-ban, 15 round capacity MAGAZINE CLIP. Not the actual gun, just the clip.

  Only stupid question is the unasked one!
  
  Generally It is legal to mail the magazine however certain states restrict these items, I am certain the California is one of the 'restricted zones" as is hawaii and perhaps new jersey
  
  Where are you going to be sending it?

  I'm not sure where I'm going to send it...I want to auction it here, and hopefully it will be bought! I know that California, Hawaii, NYC, Maryland, Washington DC, and Massachusetts have bans, so I won't be sending it there!
