Mossberg 500 Regal Value

Hi,

I have a 12ga Mossberg 500 Regal which I purchased new in 1988. It has both barrels, slug and shot. It also has the "Win chokes". While the gun is not in the box, it has never been fired. So, what's it worth?

Or another question would be, should I just take it out and go ahead and go hunting with it?

A reasonable bird gun can be purchased at Wal-mart or any pawn shop cheaply enough if the Mossberg is worth keeping unused.

  i collect mossberg shotguns.....um well since thats all i have for scatterguns i guess its collecting....[:p],

  Thanks for the replies and the correction. Shotguns are not my area of expertise. I'm more into Remington Mohawk 600's.
