M14 M1A Brookfield spring guide rod ??

Hello to all , got a question for you M1A owners out there , I just got a spring guide rod on e-bay , the seller stated it to be a Brookfield part , I have one allready on 1 of my M1A's and it is marked "BKFLD PREC TL" , the one I just won at auction is not so marked but looks the same all around , same weld same flat mach. marks etc etc , so the question is , how do you tell if it is a BPT part , did they mark all there parts ? or do I have a clone made by some gunsmith some where , the seller stated he would refund the auction if I wanted , any help and info would be welcome....Thank You........."C"

  it sounds like youre asking if the brookfield company made parts w/o their logo. hmmm...cant tell. maybe the smith had a bad day. anyway, if its the same thing as a known brookfield part, in my opinion, it would be the same value regardless who made it. afterall, the smiths in the brookfield plant are just as human as someone in their garage making one with the same materials. just curious...is the guide flat stock or round match stock metal? im sure you know the difference. round being the better. right?

  Hello , Thanks for the reply , other then no markings it is just about a match for the other guide I have that is marked by brookfield , just did not know is they made any with out there Co. name stamped on it , it is round stock with very few mach. marks on it other them the weld , would have to belive it is and the maker as you said just had a hard day !.............Thanks...........USMC 73-75

  glad to help. sam dayton makes mine and i havent had a bad one yet! shoot x's marine. or, i'll tell someone at quantico i know a marine that cant shoot! come visit: www.usnst.org and see the dam neck usmc range we shoot at!....regards....usn 74-97.
