Bushmaster?s Carbon 15 interchageability

Hi,

I am wondering if anyone knows if the new carbon 15 model from Bushmaster retains the interchageability of other AR-15 clones.
In Example, should I purchase one of the carbon 15 shortys will I be able to change out the upper reciever from the shorty to my 20" standard Bushmaster upper?

  I believe that was a specialized upper that Proffesional Ordinance offered. I imagine Bushy will offer that again though.

  I talked to the wholesaler and the customer service rep assured me that it would work. But being down that road before with unpleasant and expensive expierences have taught me to ask the experts before purchasing. [:)]
  I like the look of the 97S model but dont want to get stuck in one particular configuration. One of the definate pluses for the AR-15 and clones is the versatility of parts and configuration.

  Basically that upper that would work on say your Bushmaster aluminum lower would not work on a Carbon 15 lower at least that's how I remember them. They might've changed something.
  
  I will be interested to learn if Bushmaster will provide product support for older Professional Ordinance Carbon 15's. I knew 4 guys that owned the Carbon 15 pistols that had to send them back to the factory for major issues. Seeing that many go back, you gotta wonder about the product.

  I got this resonse from Bushmaster, thought yall might like the info.
  
  The Carbon 15 receivers will now interchange with AR15 receivers. The bolt carriers and buffer systems are different. In order to use an AR15 upper on a Carbon 15 lower receiver would require the shorter bolt carrier and buffer system. Using a Carbon 15 upper receiver on a AR15 lower would require the AR bolt carrier.
