Belgium Browning 1935 Chrome Hi-Power

I recently acquired one of the above pistols and am hoping that someone here would share with me its marketable value. The pistol is of the aA140 variety and has the WWII German eagle and swastika hallmark on both the slide and the frame. The bore is smooth and unpitted while the chrome has chipped off in several areas. I would estimate the chrome to be 90-95% intact. The wood grips are excellent. Thanks in advance for any help anyone is able and willing to offer.

  Following WWII, "bring back" guns were relatively common & cheap. And, there weren't a whole lot of collectors interested in them. So, a lot of fellows had their guns nickel plated, neither knowing nor caring that this would destroy their collector value.
  
  As a shooter, I would guess that your gun is worth $150-200; it cannot be "restored".

  Would have to agree 100% with nmeyers,
  that the gun "IS NOT" original as to chrome finish.
  Intrinsic value to the family of the person who brought it back
  maybe, but collector value is "zilch".
  Also value is in line.
  Sorry to say.
  Could be a good "shooter" though!

  Even though the resale value is low, its a great gun. They don't get much better.The P-35 is a classic and ranks among the best .Bob

  I had an opportunity to visit my local gun range this afternoon and test out this Browning Hi-Power. What a nice experience! The fixed sights at 25 yards are a bit trying on my aging eyes, but after 100 rounds I had the sighting in order and was very pleased with its accuracy, low recoil, and quietness. Comparing it to my Glock 17 and Beretta 92FS this pistol is the quietest of the bunch and its recoil is better than the Glock by a significant margin and a hairball better than the Beretta. It's a keeper! Thanks again fellows for all your help and constructive comments.

  That's Great!
  They are one of the most enjoyable 9's you'll ever find, in my
  opinion.
  Only problem is, you'll find they're like potato chips---you can't
  just have one!!!!!!!
  I stopped counting, they're all special to me.
  Sometimes it's not so bad to have something that isn't "Collector" value and then can enjoy it by using it.
  Take Care and now the "BHP Bug" has bit!
