it can be done. go to www.brownells.com and look for a dent puller tool. make sure you have a skilled smith helping you. 0 -
this dent deforms the entire inside circumrefence of the barrel, popping the dent with only get rid of the dent, not the barrel damage. 0 -
THE HYDRALIC DENT RAISER WILL 'ROUND OUT' THE BARREL, HOWEVER THESE ARE EXPENSIVE. ALSO CHECK TO SEE IF THE CREASE HAS CAUSED A METAL FATIGUE CRACK. 0 -
Based on what you've said, "entire inside circumference", in addition to raising the dent, the barrel may have to be "rerolled" this is expensive, because they have to separate the 2 barrels to do this. My advise, call Simmons Gun Repair at (913)782-3131, they are located in Olathe, KS. Dents on double barrels are best left to the experts. Anyway talk with Simmons, I think you'll spend more to fix it than what the gun is worth, but it's worth a phone call. Regards Dave 0 -

Hi, my friend had a Winchester 21 that had a small dent in the barrel. He had the repair done and when finished looked very good not perfect, but very nice. Anyway, he told me this was expensive to do but felt it was worth it for that gun. So it can be done and done well. It just isn't cheap. 0
