How good is the 3 1/2" Browning Gold?
I'm thinking about buying a 3 1/2" Browning Gold. I hunt everything from doves, pheasants and ducks to Canadas. I'd love to use just one gun. Give me some feedback. I've got a buddy that has had one for 3 years and it's been very good for him. I've got another buddy that's into Benelli's that has no good to say about the Gold. What do you think?

Several years back when they came out with the camo guns, I bought a Browning Gold Shadow Grass. It's only a 3 in but I love it. I looked at the Berreta, Benelli, and Browning. The Browning fit me the best. I shoot, doves, ducks, pheasants and geese. Since I don't shoot steel and I have a 10 gauge, I didn't need the 3 1/2in. They are about $200. more. My suggestion, go to your local gunshop and shoulder the guns you are interested in. Bring your hunting coat when you do this, it makes a difference. Pick the gun that feels the best to you. They are all good. I've shot about 500 rounds of dove loads, 1000 rounds of Bismuth thru my Gold and never had any problems! I clean it after each trip. Regards Dave 0 -
I forgot one thing, the 2 reasons I chose Browning, the fit and Browning has been making Semi-Automatics for a long time. 0 -
I have two of them the first is the gold classic, the second is the gold fusion. Both of them are only 3inch,have had no problems with them. Jinxer 0
