browning bss stocks

Have any browning gunsmiths out there successfully replaced a straight english stock on a bss with a pistol grip stock from another? Is it a simple task; does it require swapping trigger guards; and does it matter if one has a selectable trigger and one has a nonselectable trigger. Thanks.
