A somewhat positive update on my earlier post...

Thank You to Everyone that gave some advise on my earlier post!!!! I have had some positive results regarding the zoning issues. First of all, my local ATF agent has given me an "almost certain go" with the storage unit idea...and we have some local storage unit owners willing to give us the written permission necessary. Secondly, we have filed an appeal for a variance with the zoning board in our county. The initial feedback on the appeal has not been that great, but the potential is there. The ATF has granted us a 30 day extension with our application, so we have some time to work some of this stuff out. THANK YOU AGAIN, for all of your help in this matter. Yesterday evening, I was quite depressed...tonight, I see a glimmer of hope! You guys are awesome![:D][:D][:D]

  Wow, that is way better news than I expected you would have. In my jurisdiction the BATF has an anti-dealer agenda, and so do most of the zoning board folks (although they are just proxies for politically connected and influential developers).
  
  I suggest you discreetly inquire about the politics of the zoning board. Sometimes a nice campaign contribution or an encouraging word from a politically influential person can make the difference.
