Can anyone tell me what a Winchester Model 1895, lever action, .30 Army caliber with 101 Ranch medallion on stock is worth? thanks

  I am looking for the value of a Winchester Model 1895, cal 45/70, Serial # 008XX of 1000.

  Not without a LOT more information from you, and maybe a few good pictures. Just in case you are not aware of this fact, old guns (especially old Winchesters) are primarily valued according to the graded condition, and factory originality. Unless you can positively prove that it belonged to the famed 101 Ranch, that medallion inletted in the stock is the same thing as heresay.

  Thanks for your input. I realize that without a certificate of authenticity it's hard to validate anything.... If it's not a problem, can you help me with "no 101 Ranch" value on this same Winchester please? Thanks!

  Robert... I guess I wasn't clear enough in my first reply.
  
  Which variation of the Model 1895 is it? Sporting Rifle? Carbine? Musket?
  
  In addition to the specific variation, does it have any special order options (e.g. Lyman No. 21 or No. 38 rear sight, or takedown frame, or...).
  
  What is the serial number?
  
  How much of the original factory bluing remains on the frame and the barrel?
  
  What is the bore condition?
  
  Condition of the stocks?
  
  I hope you are getting the picture now... your old Winchester lever-action could be worth just a few hundred $$$ (beat up clunker), to several thousand $$$$... depending upon your answers.
