INFO ON BARREL MF'G

When recently removing the stock from a customized 1917 Eddystone, found the name "Federal Firearms" of Oakdale, Pa. stamped on the underside of the barrel, along with the initials "JM" with stars on both sides of the initials, stamped near the receiver ring. Only other markings are the caliber "30-06" stamped on the barrel.

Anyone have any info on this barrel maker and the quality of such?
