SAR 1 Trigger Slap
I just bought a SAR 1 from J&G Sales (imported by Century).
When fired, the rifle has a bad trigger slap (kickback).
Causes pain and discomfort to my trigger finger. I emailed J&G,
but got no response. What can I buy or modify a part(s) to solve
the problem??
Thank you much,
Bill

Some of the Century triggergroups do that, mine did until it broke in, now its fine. I seem the recall the FSE ones being preferred.

dont plan on getting a response from the wholeseller unless you are an ffl holder in you got it in your local gunshop you must go through them to correct this 0 -
I am going to remove the trigger and disconnecter and grind the back of the disconnecter. Can I push the Shepards hook down to remove
the trigger pin? OR, buy a single hook TCG from Tapco for $6.99.
The Century (US made) TCG is poor quality.

Bill I'd go ask that on that other board. My SN 03 Sar1 doesn't have that problem yet.
This might help though.

Bill, put a few hundred rounds through it and it'll probably straighten up. I wouldn't grind on the control group, it will affect reliablity because the hammer may not catch right causing the hammer to follow the bolt as it closes which can cause a failure to fire, fire out of battery[B)], or full-auto bursts. Also, if your rifle is ever under legal scrutiny for any reason you might not want the file marks all over the trigger group[;)] If it doesn't clear up after a couple hundred rounds then check with Tapco or CDNN, the have replacement groups really cheap.
