hi capacity mag ban states?
Need your help guys. I'm getting ready to sell my 30rd. 9mm Beretta mag on Gun Broker and I can't remember all of the states that have a ban on hi capacity mags. I need to know before I list it to make sure that no one bids on it from one of these "Nazi controlled states".

Well you have to be the very first on GB to claim that fascists are controling these states. All of the other enlightened and politically savvy GB members claim that these states are being run by the communists. At the momment there are four states which have magazine restrictions: California (10 round limit), New Jersey (15 round limit for semi auto firearms), Hawaii (10 round limit for handgun magazines) and Maryland (20 round limit). There are usually exemptions for FFL dealers to make purchases for resale to LEO's (this is the case with California).

Thanks Mark! What ever you want to call them, Nazi or Communist, the fact remains that they all want to eventually eliminate private citizens from owning firearms! Thank God George Bush is President and hopefully he will continue his pro gun stance. It's tough for me because I worked in a union factory for 30 years and I received top wages and benifits because of that union. I guess I should be a Democrat. I know that the Republicans back big business. I can't say I'm either. I voted for Bush not because he is a Republican, but because of some of the issues he stands for. Guns mean alot to me, but God and prayer, mean so much more.

Hate to break this to you but there are lots of cities that have high cap magazine bans. All the major cities in Ohio, for example, only allow 10 round mags. Making the matter worse is the fact that you can have a Cincinnati, Dayton or Cleveland address and not live in those cities and not be subject to the ban. You either have to trust the person you're selling it to or check the little book the ATF puts out that lists all the state and local laws. Best of luck 0 -
You can also check some of the major catalogs--I normally look in the Sportsman's Guide--to see their list of "shipping restrictions" for items like high-cap magazines. 0 -
If you want to be SURE that it is legal to ship to a specific city/county/state, look it up in State Laws and Published Ordinances - Firearms (ATF P5300.5).
On the other hand, USPS does not routinely scan packages, and they really don't care what they contain unless it is hazardous. And, BATFE really doesn't have the interest in running down insignificant technical violations of regulations.
