Multi Caliber Adapters
Has anyone ever tried these Rifle adapters? The one I'm looking at fits in a 308 then shoots 7.62x39. Are those two calibers close enough so the 7.62x39 will stablize in a 308 barrel and be accurate? Thanks for any help on this.

I have one that allows me to shoot .30 carbine in my 30-06. I like it. Not quite as accurate with the light 110 grain bullets, but not bad either (and I've only tried one .30 carbine load). 0 -
i have a set that allows you to fire .22 rimfire out of a .45 long colt SAA revolver. the chamber inserts have polygonal rifling, and are quite accurate at 12 yds. i have the complete set of six.
i have considered bying the chamber insert that allows you to fire .32 acp in a 7.5 french MAS MODEL 1936. best regards, mike.

those little things are great for when you travel far from home or abroad and cant find the caliber you need for your gun in the field. they were used a lot in the early military, to save ammo and train troops cheap. i like them. 0 -
If you're talking about the inserts that glue in the chamber I would not reccomend them unless you want to sacrifice the barrel. That line about easily removeable with a broken case tool is not quite true. I ended up running a thread tap inside the adaptor and pulling it with a slide hammer resulting in a scored .308 chamber which was saved only by polishing the chamber. This was a mauser and the 7.62 head is small enough that the most you can expect is to pull the case out of the chamber and drop it on top of the magazine. The accuracy was ok to play with but not good enough for my needs. Also the magazine needs modification to feed right.

I have one that allows use of 22lr in a 223 chamber. It is a lot of fun. You have to experiment to find the best ammo for your gun. Remington/Eley is the best in my Savage.
